Second regional coaching conference “Where Coaching Meets Science”, organized by the company Atria Group and Erickson Coaching International, brought together over 120 coaching professionals and experts in the field of human resources on the 22nd of March at the hotel “Crowne Plaza Belgrade”.
Atria Group, coaching leader in the region, brought together top coaching experts from Europe and thus enable the participants to learn about coaching methodology and discover why coaching has been successfully applied in the business world for more than two decades, as a practical and powerful tool for organizational and personal development.
In the introductory part of the conference John Blakey, PCC accredited coach and author on the topic of executive coaching, organizational change and business development, shared his coaching experience from the business world. Sava Dalbokov, member of the Steiermärkische Bank Board and the Savings Bank AG in Graz during his lectures through song and story explained the importance of managers work with its employees through coaching.
In the second part of the conference participants had the opportunity through 3 interactive workshops to learn more about the different coaching approaches, application of psychometrics in the process of coaching, what results coaching results achieved so far in the world and why is it important to attend professional coaching training in order to successfully practice coaching.
The final part of the conference turned to the scientific approach to coaching, where participants had the opportunity hear Amy Brann, English experts in the field of neuroscience and learn more about the functioning of the brain and how can science support coaching. The final lecture was held by Julie Hay, an expert in the field of transactional analysis, who explained the difference between mentoring and coaching, psychotherapy and the importance of the development of coaching as a profession.
Judging by the participant’s impressions and the number of available topics for reflection and discussion, it is certain that the coaching conference will become a traditional meeting place for all those who believe that coaching is a viable methodology applicable in almost all areas of life and work.

The first opportunity for the development of coaching skills many will recognize in the first module of the training “The Art and Science of Coaching”, which is the only ICF accredited training program in the field of coaching in Serbia. The training will be organized at Atria Group on the 7th of April, 2016.
